Marc M. Cogman - Welcome to the Danger Show
|
|
Anonymous writes "Marc M. Cogman’s first solo album, Welcome to the Danger Show, is at the height of what all independent artists should strive to attain. It’s unique and fluid, ear-catching and emotion-provoking. Listeners don’t need a professional ear to recognize the talent displayed on the album, anyone with an appreciation for the art of music should be able to distinguish that this musician and his album are incredibly remarkable. It’s no wonder Cogman’s album is so spectacular, he has over ten years of experience playing music and performing, attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, has a bachelor’s degree in poetry and is well on his way to earning his master’s of poetry from USC. Both degrees undoubtedly assisted in the expansion of his lyric-writing expertise.
There are so many albums that have a few tracks people really take to, but Welcome to the Danger Show is the kind of album that all types of people will want to listen to from track one to track ten. Not only is the music well-done, the lyrics are beautifully written in a way that creates a more clear interpretation of what it means to take notice of and appreciate even the smallest things that may otherwise be seemingly insignificant, especially in relationships. Cogman says that much of the inspiration for the album stems from a classic case of unrequited love so much of the lyrical content is based on personal experience. This allows the listener to really connect with Cogman because they are able to see a part of his life he’s decided to openly share with the world. On the album, the pain he felt is apparent, but so is the feeling of satisfaction in knowing that even the struggles in life somehow lead you down the path that’s meant for you."

Anonymous writes "We have just lost our practice spot, and we need a new place to jam.
We need a place we can practice in once or twice a week, somewhere in the ware/palmer/monson/warren area, preferably, but we can travel to the brookfields.
We'll need decent electricity, enough room to have a band with equipment in, and neighbors who won't mind loud rock music during the day a couple times a week.
Please help us.

Judgemark11 writes "My friend Rachel and I have been thinking of starting up a new band and we were looking for any musicians for this project. Rachel is a singer and can play alto saxophone and I play baritone saxophone. We are looking for talented rhythm section members (Especially a piano/organ player). Singing/harmonizing abilities a major plus. Influences for us are very wide ranging and an exact style for the band has not been set yet. We are REALLY looking for a bass trombone player as well.
Head to myspace.com/masshysteria thats our old band, take a listen to Smear Campaign to check out Rachels voice. I am currently a photography student at New England School Of Photography and Rachel attends Emerson, so we are both in the immediate Boston area.
Feel free to email me at Judgemark11@hotmail.com with any questions or anything.

Anonymous writes "A Hero Next Door is looking for an energetic and creative singer who wants to play shows ASAP!
Must be willing to commit to a busy practice/show schedule and be an equal part of the band in all aspects. Experience and training preferred, but not necessary if you can sing and rock out at the same time. Singing is our number one priority and screaming/yelling is a nice bonus.
As for us, we like playing loud, fast, catchy music. We've worked hard at developing a kickass live show and have steadily built an audience who've come to expect a fun time when seing us play. Over the past two years we've played out consistently and are looking forward to getting back on track as soon as we can. We have fun being a serious band. We don't worry about which side our bangs go to or how tight our black pants are.
If you are still reading, check out our new DIY demo tracks at Myspace to see where we want to take the band and listen to our full length album on Purevolume to see where we've been.
