Copius were formed in late 1998 as a cover band that started off as a bit of fun. As they got sick of ripping off other band's work, they began to make their own songs.
They got more confident and entered the Mudslave Battle of the Bands competition, winning and earning their place in their CD launch. This
gave way to invitation to many more gigs. They then went through a rebuilding stage with an unnoticeable change of music direction.
They have had the pleasure of playing with Mudslave, Greenroom, Salem, Pawn and many more.
Copius' influences are Deftones, Limp Bizkit, Tool, Coal Chamber, Rage against the Machine and Grinspoon, coming across as a hard hitting rock band.
Copius are made up of; Luke (Master vocals), Michael (Lead), Ben (Bass), and Allyx (Token chick drummer).
They are a young band full of confidence, with extreme energy and charisma on stage.
