CA$H formed in Boston in
October 1998. Since then
we've been doing our best to
stay as active as possible.
Our goal is pretty simple:
Rock n'Roll. But please,
don't be scared by the term. It's gotten a bad rap
lately. Thanks to a severe over-use of the word, it
now generally means cheesy guys with fat guts
or, simply, nothing at all. One thing we try to get
across is that rock'n'roll does not refer to
everything in the rock/pop section of the record
store. It is actually a direct lineage that began in
the mid fifties with Sun and Chess Records
recordings like Elvis Presley and Chuck Berry
and went on to include Bill Haley, The Beatles,
The Stones, David Bowie, The Clash, Elvis
Costello, The Cars, The Pixies and Weezer. It's
innovation without straying from the basic song
or going over people's heads. It's anger and
heartache without a bunch of crying and
whining. This is the only genre that we will ever
subscribe to despite the efforts of many to label
us as punk or rockabilly (??? you're guess is as
good as mine???).
Our 8 song CD is available in stores in and
around Boston and through the website, but the
live experience is what we're all about, so make
sure 'n' check us out!
