Mixing melody with intensity, Bishop Strike is a band that brings something missing in today's Rock/Alternative music scene. Since the band's inception three years ago, we have accomplished many serious goals on a long road leading toward the national levels. Our self titled CD receives rotation airplay on Boston's own WAAF (107.3), Rhode Island's WHJY, and many others around the New England area and received favorable reviews in Boston's "Sound Check" magazine and well as "Blackstone presents 24-7" local music news. In our first year on the New England club scene, we have successfully headlined many shows at major venues such as Aerosmith's "Mama Kin Music Hall", Downstairs at "The Middle East" (Cambridge, MA) and Boston's south shore premier rock club "The Alternate Route." We have also opened directly under such national acts as "The Hunger", "Slaughter", and have shared the stage with Universal records "Godsmack" (at three different occasions during the summer of '98.)
Our music is thought provoking, sincere, and sometimes aggressive. It often reflects the moods and circumstances of the members at different stages of their lives. At times there is a deep lyrical meaning within, other times just for pure enjoyment, no deep underlining message or proverb, but the music always from the heart, soul and the mind.
While feverishly supporting our CD, the band members continue to add polish, improve, and add the extra touches that make the music from our current release stand out above the crowd. With much untapped material on the table, Bishop Strike will definitely be around for some time, preserving their position as one of the top Boston talents of the day.
We are currently seeking industry professional contacts to help with the distribution of our current release as well as possible future talks of additional recording contracts and tour scheduling. Please feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions concerning Bishop Strike and our music.
